I am looking for something like 14x6 BBP front and 14x7 BBP rear. I want my dog dish covers to fit. I have heard that there is a place you can take a set of your wheels and they cut the centers out of them and install them into any size/width wheel you want. I have a set of 14x4.5SBP. I don't think they can change the bolt patern with this method.
Do we know of a place to just order the steel wheel I want in width and back spacing of my choice? And have the covers just pop on?
When I talk to the wheel places, they say they can get steel wheels allday long, but one that will let me use the covers, they have no idea.
Greg Ondayko has the setup I want but his are SBP.
One more thing. I have brand new tires 205-70-14 (200 miles) so I'd like to stay with the 14 inch wheels. I am also converting to front disk brakes. Will I have clearance issues with the 14 inch wheel or should I just go to the 15 inch and try to sell my Cragar SS SBP with new tires?

Consider selling your wheels and go with 15".
If you use OEM wheels instead of custom 14", you'll make up what you lose on the new 205-70x14 tires.
OEM steelies in 15x5.5, 15x6, 15x6.5, 15x7 are not difficult to locate in junkyards. There's also a 15x8 but pretty rare.
Rallyes were 15x6.5 and 15x7.
With OEM 14", choices are slim. 14x5.5 are common, 14x5 and 14x6 weren't as common.
Rallyes were common 14x5.5 and scarce 14x6.

At swap meets, certain wheels are pricey because they are needed for resto. Most 14x6 and 15x7 Rallyes, some 14x6, 15x6 and 15x7 steelies. Pricey means as much as $1200 for some of the steelies!!! I was offered a set of '67 15x6 for my '67 Belvedere, a very hard to find wheel, price was $1000! I'll just keep using the mid '70s 15x6 on it.

There are several companies that make custom steel wheels. Specialty is one. I have two pair, 15x8 Cops and 15x8 Rallyes. IIRC, they were $85 each a few years back. Got them at the Garlits show from Frank 'The Wheel Guy' out of IL, he sells Specialty. I checked runout when on the spin balancer, didn't see any.

BTW, even some of the earlier OEM 15" may not clear a BIG disc brakes. I tried 15x7 Rallyes on the front of my '84 D100, had to go with 15x7 Cop wheels instead.
Late '70s and '80s 15x6.5 and 15x7 should clear most anything.

And your dog dish cap will fit on any post-'67 wheel with the cap lugs on the center.
In '68, Mopar went with the smaller A body size cap on everything.
