When I adjust the t-bars, I always take the car for a ride around the block and recheck. Just bouncing the car is not enough. I also sit the ride height to where I want it and then take the car to be aligned, with strict insturctions to not touch the t-bars. It also helps to have an alignment person that has experience with old mopars. They are not aligned the same as the new econboxes and new alignment people are not trained on the older stuff, so they usuallly get it wrong.

I left this out before. On any car with rubber bushings the car is supposed to be settled at right height before the bolts on the bushings get torqued. This is to avoid putting too much twist on the bushing and tearing it. This could also have a slight effect on the ride height if the bushings are actually bearing some of the load. On our cars this would be the lower control arm stud and the cam bolts. The cam bolts should get taken care of when it is aligned. Were the lower bushings (studs) torqued with the car on stands and the arms hanging down?

Yes the strut rods and lca pivot nuts were tightened down when it was on the alignment rack before it was aligned - infact I had no room to torque the lca pivots on the driveway with the car on the ground.

I felt more comfortable getting another alignment after my own height adjustment. It was pulling noticeably to the right so I figure it was a good idea. I told him to check the height adjustment too.

In the end I came out with:

Camber: L 0.60deg R 0.35deg
Caster: L -0.20deg R -0.50deg
Toe: 0.06" each side

Now the left side looks a smidg lower (previously it was the right that was lower - I bet he dropped the left instead of raising the right even more). I feel an ever so slight pull to the right, less then before. Confusing part is the car is supposed to pull to side of most camber correct? Its doing opposite.

I think that has to do with the tires though - because before any of this started when I rotated the tires the pull became apparent at that point. We'll let things sit like this and see what happens at next rotation.

Too bad no one will just rent out time on an alignment rack.
