greetings from the midwest. just picked up a 64 dart 270 with 28000 original miles on it. everything's immaculate except for a crack on the exhaust manifold ear. any suggestions? welding or replacement? ease of replacing it? cost?

What do you mean by ear? Like where it mounts to the head, or where the two bolts at the rear of the manifold go through to connect the intake to the exhaust? I had one that cracked on the heat stove right along one where the two bolts go through. My uncle welded it for me with nickel rod, and it's holding up fine.

If you think it can be fixed, and the manifold doesn't seem to be warped or cracked badly, then go for it...just because perfect exhaust manifolds are hard to find anyway.
