My 1965 Dart has a schroeder valve for air shocks above the rear valance. It v's and feeds both shocks. Any know the apprx. pressure or what would be a
safe pressure to charge without blowing the seals ?

Check to see if the upper shock mounts have been reinforced....if not you will want to run the lowest pressure you can to prevent rippin' up the trunk.

What pressure in PSI ??? There must be a recommended range that you are supposed to charge the shocks to , or just an average range for airshocks in general.

usually i set my air shocks at about 35 psi but you can go a little softer (good rule of thumb set the at the same pressure as you tires or a little lower) also to keep the rear more planted to the ground i usually run 2 separate air valves (so the pressure does not go from side to side as you turn) but most of the time your valve should have a tag at the base that will tell you the recommended pressure.

most air shocks will go up to 175-200psi. course it'll ride like a tank, but look cool.....lol

My air shocks have a range of 20 to 150 psi. The instructions say not to operate over 90 psi for any prolonged period of time. I usually run 60 to 90 psi for that "cool" look. I'll bump it up to 120 psi when towing a trailer.

take them off. get new springs (Jc whitney, espo spring are retailers that have them) OR get yours rearched OR go to a local spring shop and get a piece of spring stock and add-a-leaf yourself. (heck, i have 2 pieces of spring stock i'll send to you for shipping cost that are already drilled and ready to install!)

then get some regular shocks. shocks are not supposed to support weight. they are only for dampening spring movement. even cheapy shocks are better at that than air shocks!

see what sandy said above, keep using air shocks as springs, and eventually you will rip the upper mounts right out of place. especially if you are using the thing for towing. ask me how i know.

It's like almost anything else... you might get away with it for awhile, maybe even indefinitely but the odds are are against you. I've seen the damage that can result and it ain't pretty.
