For the last couple decades, only stamped-steel gaskets have been available for the "hotbox" area (where the intake bolts to the exhaust). These never seal, they always leak, and are a major source of frustration when doing a manifold swap. The original gasket in this area was a stamped steel item, which was replaced in production and service for 1962 by a thicker composition type gasket consisting of an asbestos core faced on both sides with clinched steel foil. These weren't perfect, though they were definitely better. The composition gasket was discontinued years ago in North America, and only the useless stamped-steel items have been supplied for a long time.

Fortunately, now good, thick gaskets are available as a kit of manifold-to-head and intake-to-exhaust (hotbox) items, and the manifold-to-headpipe flange gasket is available as a 2 inch or as a 2-1/4 inch item.

Manifold R&R is a pain in the neck (and back). If you want to do it once instead of gambling on having to do it multiple times, it's very much worth the minor extra nuisance and wait of ordering these Remflex gaskets instead of running down to the parts store for the Fel-Pro/Victor/etc items.

Note Much of the discussion below in this thread is about an Australian-made gasket set that used to be available, but no longer is, and no longer matters because now we have the Remflexes.

Great! I just got my intake/exhaust manifold gasket from them in the mail two days ago, too bad I didn't know they had these also. I guess I will just have to contact them again. Thanks for the post letting us know!

Good news! I have to order a few. Graphite / steel compostion gaskets were the only type that worked 100% for me on hard to seal turbo charger exhaust turbine inlets it the past. Even no gasket was better than the others, including copper. They look perfect. This should be a big help especially with an aluminum intake. I have been wondering how I was going to get mine to seal when I put it on.

Hi guys G'day from Australia, thought I should join & post up / let you know that yes thanks to Dans request (make sure to thank him) for these gaskets they are now available to all, the tooling cost for these was a worry but they're here!

We've tried to bring you the products that you guys & girls are chasing as for MLS Head Gaskets what sized bore? As most of you would know we (Australia) only got the 225 cuin Slant 6 so anything else is a custom job over here but nothing is impossible with enough orders... :mrgreen:


Randy very sorry mate that ya missed out on the duel order but we literally just got them here yesterday & I only emailed Dan about them less than 12hrs ago (Ya bloody Quick with the plug Mate!! lol) & for that we thank you!

As Dan & Randy has already stated we ship world wide & have no problems with bulk requests etc with our gaskets we have ensured that our supplier (who's making them in OZ only for us) uses the best materials available! Its the same with the slant inlet / exhaust manifold gaskets they were made to seal properly! Steel faced gaskets on a 30+yr old manifold just don't do the job as you're are undoubtedly aware... We HAD the same problem down here with our Hemi 6 engines..

Too many others have tried to help out us fellow Mopar nutters but have only failed the steel faced composites are THE perfect example!

We'd like to think that we're different in this aspect we listen to your needs & we get things done!

Dan asked for these gaskets (we honestly didn't think there was THAT much of a market for them) & as such you all have them (after purchase that is lol)

Cheers & hope the above didn't sound too much like a sales pitch, we're just passionate about what we do..

See you've been pushing pebbles. These fine folks also have the 3.66" bore composition head gasket and it only took them a week to get one up my holler, in the middle of a brushfire that got within 150 feet of their shop. Well done, Nev and Kevin.

As others here I got my gaskets and yep I love em!

Packed GREAT with a piece of hardboard to keep from damage and came in about 2 weeks. But I never got a response to any of my 3 emails...two before ordering with a request for info on head gasket at same time, one after order. Very satisfied, just woulda liked an email back.

i think they made have heard from the masses...

i got mine in about 10 days, cheap($32ish, for the "combo") and, importantly for this thread....
got a few emails affirming the receipt of monies received, and since was on weekend, they sent a "going to send on Monday morning" notice...then a "sent from on.." notice....

so i think they may be more on it now.....or so is my experience....
and most importantly...THEY FREAKING WORK!!!!!
SOOOOO much quieter.....

blind, VERY impressed....

Same here, got mine in two weeks. They sent an email, conformation when I ordered, after they received payment and when they shipped. Can't get much better communication than that!
