There is a blurb on this page about building a slant head. I can't tell if these guys ever finished their 200-250 Ford head.

Statistically are more slants modified? Or Chevy, or Fords?

The blurb is inaccurate. The company described (Cylinder Head Innovations, in Australia) actually make an aluminum head for the Chrysler Hemi-6, a different, non-slant engine that was not sold outside Australia.

And not cheap. Hemi-6 head:

Bare - $1650 AU
With Valves, springs, seals, $2400 AU

The alloy crossflow head came out in 1981 in the XD Falcon.
In 1986, they were ULP compatable.
In 1983, they came out with LE2 type EFI.
The alloy head finnished in 1992 with the last of the XF Falcon utes. ( for the 250). It was superseded by the 4.0 I6 SOHC.

To answer your question.the new head for the 170-250 ford is currently in testing. The head is based off of the Aus2v instead of the crossflow as was much more cost effective and allowed customers to use some of the equipment such as headers, valvecovers etc. they allready had instead of buying all new stuff. We are currently also working on a new head for the 240/300 ford.We are also looking into a new head for the chevy big six aswell as a new head for the US slantsix. If you are interested please contact Mike Winterboer at GT200@cox.net who's the owner of Classic Inlines.Hope this helps.
