Hey Guys&Gals'

This sucks....just put a new engine in and now the transmission seems to be messing up  This just started happening today...i was crusin through town...stopped at the stop sign and went to take off and it shifts from first into second fine...but only stays in second gear for about 3 seconds of normal acceleration and then shifts into 3rd...never did it before...any ideas? Since it wasnt shifting right i started to just shift it from 1st, 2nd, and then into D, seems fine when i do that. Is that alright to shift it like that for now...cuz i dont have the money or time right now to have my trans rebuilt

Are you sure you adjusted your kickdown properly when you put the new engine in? Sounds like that could potentially be the culprit.
