Dan had a good idea about rerouting the fuel line.
But.
Is there some rerouting thats possible with the heater hoses? (Valiant -66)

What could you do with the heater hoses that wouldn't make it more complicated?

Mine are the simplest layout I've ever seen on a car.......

You could relocate them to the trunk next to your battery. 8)

It would be easier to remove the valvecover.

Get longer hoses and route them along the inside of the right fender

It is the "bend" at the firewall that I not like, its hard to get the hoses direct 90 degr.

Get 2 90 degree pipe bends, and some longer hoses...
Put the bends just off the firewall, and route the hoses over the inner fender

I can send you some pictures if you send me your email. I routed mine over the top of the engine to help keep them warm. Everything is nice and neat and get plenty of air. My SL6 runs so cold it isn't funny, everything is new including radiator and heater core, 195 stat and she runs 130 to 145 degrees.
A little over 10,000 miles on the rebuild.

Can't seem to add any pictures to my signature block like most folks do or to the post for that matter.

Copper plumbing elbows work great for tight bends................

Most part stores have a "cut to length" long hose, with a 90 degree bend on one end.
