I use a Blanket even with my mcleod setup.

I dont believe you cold fit an explosion shield in a stock body car, unless You got the adapater plate to mount the LA Motor scattershield. People have done that - That option was not for me as I wanted to retain the stock starter location, Header clearance, etc.

The early a bellhousings tend to be rare and expensive - I dont want to destroy any more - But if do it's piece of mind that I wont destroy me in the process.

ALLSTAR 69010 is the part #

This is a good thread. I have a 66 dart 4spd o/d. With basically stock motor pulling 4000 shifts. I will be swapping motors soon and probably shifting closer to 5000. I am currrently using 10" HD clucth from Sachs. My new motor will have the bigger crank hub so I need a newer style flywheel. Is the Mcleod setup the only higher rev option? If so I might rethink automatic as I want to bracket race more anyway. I have 3.55 gears and like the o/d and like shifting.

I dont know if it's the only option, but it is the safest Four speed option, for now as the Pressure ring is made of ductile Iron, Same as stock production pieces on modern day Corvettes, etc.

BTW, the McLeod Flywheel came to me with the small Hub, I took it id got it machined locally for the big hub, No biog deal there!

Yes as long as you have a 1" X 23 Spline tranny - All a and f body slant trannies are this way, Yes..

Big big trucks are probably different.
