Medford racway is actually called Champion raceway and has a good website with lots of information and directions. Their website is: www.championraceway.com. They will be open at 7:00 am for those that want to show up early on Friday morning. Tech at 2:00 on Friday and again early Sat. Directions: Most will be coming on I-5 so take the OR-62 (Crater Lake Hi. Exit Ext #30 towards White City/Crater Lake. Go about 5 miles and turn right onto OR-140 (Lake of the woods Hiway) Go about 2 miles and turn right at the flashing yellow light which is Kershaw Rd. Entrance to the drag strip will be on your left after about 1/4 mile.
Track manager, Jim phone # (971) 285-7255 and track number (503) 829-7634. Windmill suites have a special low racers rate if you tell them you are attending races. (1-800-547-4747) You also get free breakfast at Windmill and on Sat. night, the track is providing a free BBQ for all slant6 racers and families. This is a first time event for our slant6 group and again the track is trying to accomadate us so please support our efforts and show up at Medford (Champion Raceway) on JUne 2-3. This is a two day race (Sat-Sunday) and national points will be awarded. If Seymour can make the effort and expense to drive all the way out from MInn...you would think we should have a big car count from both Calif. Oregon and Washington areas. See you at Medford...

Hey Wayne, couple of questions. I will be driving up Sat morning,

1) what time should I be there, or what time is the tech inspection?

2) Is it $25 for the two days of racing? (according to their website)

The way I read the web page;

Car & driver for the two days $55.00
Fri test & tune $25.00
General admission for the two days (just to watch) $25.00
Camping (security fee) $25.00

Hi Randy: The gates open at 8:00 am on Saturday and tech also starts at 8:00am...Time trials at 9:00 am on Saturday as per their website. Most are going up later on Friday and others leaving early Saturday morning. The Windmill suites have a very low rate so if you are thinking about coming on Friday, give them a call and please tell them you are racing. I think the rate is around $70.00 per night and that includes breakfast for all racers. Richard is right and the admission with car is $55.00 which is for both days of racing. The track is also having a BBQ for all us racers and is included in the $55.00 . I will try to get there on Friday and set up "camp" and try to hold a area for our slant6 group. See you this weekend..give me a call at (530) 345-4222 if needed...later Wayne/Aric
