we are putting a 73 engine in our 64 truck, doing an hei conversion, the wires are cruddy, so will be doing a bit of rewiring anyway, but can we use a 75 alternator voltage regulator? green wire to alternator? thanks

Yep, all '70-up electronic regulators are interchangeable with each other.
