The track was great! the officials really helped this newbie out a bunch. On Friday they let me run DOT, though I went out on the first pass.
I ran so many Test and Tunes, I think I would have put on less mileage running Circle track! I need to get all my Time slips in order as well. When I got home there was a big wad of them in the Glove Box.
Took almost a full second off from Saturday to Sunday going back to my "Too Rich" jetting. The drop aircleaner should be in today. I went ahead and installed my 2" spacer under the 390, so need a shorter breather to clear the hood. It looks like I'm too rich in the primary circuit now, and I'm getting acceleration surge at WOT. At cruise the mixture falls off the narrow band. No Lean surge noted, but I haven't run the car much since modifying the intake tract. No "Bog," but the power comes on in steps.
Saturday I plan to lock the secondaries out and get the primary circuit straightened out. Then I'll start somewhere around my Purple spring and see where the secondary circuit is running.
I may need to fool around with the bleeds that were mentioned in another post on the forum. Haven't tried that yet. Not quite sure what that entails, but should be able to figure it out with a book and a bit of snooping. The way the power surges, I'm wondering if the secondary circuit is too slow. Too early to speculate.
There is some question about our "On-Call" schedule at the end of the month. One of my co-workers has a sick family member, so Woodburn is tentative right now. I've got a 30 minute leash on me when I carry the pager. That puts Woodburn outside the response range. When I know more, I'll let you know.
