Ok, i'm ready to buy my intake now. I was thinking about an offy 4 barrel.
Does this install directly? I know I need the linkage kit, but is that all?
Is there anything I need to know about the offy intake?
Also wich 4 barrel carb would work best? Vacuum or mechanical secondaries? I also plan to turbocharge the car in the future.

The offy is like a standard intake but with a bigger plenum and a carb plate...you will need to figure out what you're going to do for the exhaust, the standard manifold will bolt to the intake, but you'll need to get things adjusted right (get it milled for flatness once assembled). Kickdown linkage is a Lokar setup for ease of installation if you have an automatic, if you have a later model car the accelerator pedal cable may need some adjustment (switch to a V-8 version or if switching the carb's facing, maybe a longer one out of a K-car...).

Another thought is the carb, don't worry about the 'turbo' later, you'll be looking at working up your next setup, vacc. secondary carbs are the best as they only 'open' as much as the engine can 'take'...depending on the build the Holley 8007 -390 cfm is a nice small 4 barrel, next version that has a good rep is the Edelbrock 500...

Good luck, it's kind of an Easter Egg hunt for parts, then a 'lego set' build when putting it together...
