Just talked with Seymour to see how the response was for the Martin, Michigan slant6 race which will be held July 21 (Saturday) and then bracket racing on Sunday. He is hoping for at least 5 CARS...That will make it a 30 point to the winner slant6 event. I would think that there are a few potential cars from Michigan and also the Ohio area that could come out and support slant6 racing and show Seymour that WE DO CARE ABOUT SLANT6 RACING. Please try to make this event at least for Saturday. If your car is not ready, try to borrow one...get someone involved that has a slant6 car...CAN'T WE GET TWO+ CARS OUT OF THE CHICAGO AREA? CAN'T WE GET TWO+ CARS OUT OF THE ENTIRE STATE OF MICHIGAN AND CAN'T WE GET TWO+ CARS FROM OHIO TO SHOW UP. LET'S MAKE JULY 21 A GOOD TURNOUT FOR BOTH MARTIN AND WILKESBORO. I bet if someone had a slant6 car and wasn't going to go could get Dennis to drive it for them. He cuts some of the best lights I have ever see. How about it Dennis? I think the Cox Bros had several cars from the Ohio area.. I would think that even those from Pennsylvania could make the short trip . Two great races scheduled for this weekend...so lets support one or the other by attending .

Wayne, I picked up a side job that will pay me a few extra bucks. If I get back from Connecticut in time Friday I will pull my junk up there. Unfortunately, the other running car in the area can not go.

The race is Saturday, right?

For anyone else, Martin is a very nice little track and super easy to get to. You can see it from 131, and the exit is right north of the track. The road into the track is less than 1/2 mile from 131.

No, when I say we don't have the Slant cars here I am not joking. There are a grand total of 4 possibly interested in racing. I should be there, 1 doesn't run, 1 can't go because of family obligations, and the other won't drive that far.

I honestly have no idea why we don't have more Slants here. Whenever Bill and I are at the track there seems to be lots of people interested.

It's fun to run heads up slants - Seymour Will be there too, He Runs about 2-3 Tenths Faster than me - So If I run against him there's another heads up race.

I plan on arrivig friday Night for the Tracks' Fun-n Grudge - Which I guess is like an open tnt session. Should Be fun!
