Hey all,

Looks like I need a new radiator. I've searched old posts, but I can't find a good source for a three-row replacement in western Canada. Anyone know of somewhere I can get such an item? I'd like to get a 22" to replace the 19" stocker. I make a couple of summertime trips up the Fraser Canyon every summer (30*C +) and noticed the leak when I got back from the first of this year's trips. Just put in a new heater core since I noticed rusty water on the passenger side floormats (about an ounce or so). Then I went to top up the coolant and to my shock, it drank 3 litres before it was full! Oy vey! Any help?

Thanks in advance,

Nat

Yeah....... Sorry... Brain fart. It's a 1970 Dart, 4-door, 225, A-904, Highway gears (for now), 1BBL Carter, brown vinyl front and rear benches, missing the dome light lens..... Planning on upgrading to super six with a bigger cam and faster rear, so I want to maximize cooling now since it needs replacement anyways, rather than buy another radiator next spring.

Thanks for the quick response,

Nat

Oh, well, if it's missing the dome light lens, that'll require a special radiator ;-)

Seriously: You can get a Proliance (used to be Modine) #527 for $186 from www.rockauto.com. That's a 2-row 22" A-body radiator. The top outlet is offset to the right, so you'd need a Dayco #70744 or NAPA #7670 upper hose to go with it.

If that's not going to be enough cooling for you, go and talk to this guy for a custom aluminum radiator.

Thanks SSD, for the speedy responses.

One further question, though; What's the advantage of an aluminium radiator versus..... well..... a non aluminium radiator?

Thanks,

Nat
