Hey guys, been a while since Ive posted much of anything but I have been slowly making progress on my Slanted Duster between school and work. Currently I am getting all the "final" body work done before I primer the car.

I am taking a spare Duster hood I have and I am going to use it for my scoop hood. I decided I want to go with a 6-pack style hood or use the "dual snorkel" style they used on the later A-bodies. I would prefer to find a functional scoop, not the tape down style a lot of places seem to have. Im working on a budget but I want at least a little bit of quality. If you know of a good place to get these let me know. Thanks for the help.

There are a lot of places reproducing the dual snorkel, and everyone does a Six Pack scoop. Since you are using a steel hood, a bolt-on scoop is the way to go. I can't remember who, but there is a company making a bolt-on dual snorkel for around $200.

This is one area where you will get what you pay for. The cheap scoops will be bond-on and will not fit real well.

Check with Mopars By Crane. Aaron got a twin snorkel from them that looks awesome on his '74 Dart Sport. It was less than $200 and is hand-laid fiberglass. The outer lip tucks under about 1-1/2" to give you something to screw to from below. It looks just like the OEM scoop.

For some reason, their website isn't working right now. I'll try to get a phone number for you.

Here ya go. I'll even do you one better. How about pics and all...

Here is Aaron's car at a recent event at Denton, TX:

Try VFN fiberglass.....I've heard they make good stuff, price is great, but you'll have to wait. They have about a 4-6 week wait on parts.

We sell that same scoop as Mopars by crane. This will mount like original one. Less then $200 to the door. Nice piece. Hope this helps Don

Take a hammer in one hand. Place the other hand on a firm surface. Strike free hand with hammer.

This hurts, but you aren't out $200 at the same time.

If you want headers then buy real headers. If you want better manifolds you want the Dutra Duals.

It was a smack against "mopars by crane", based on the other posts throughout the site.
