If you have been paying attention you would quickly see that a 10 sec slant w/out nitrous getting 25 mpg is not a vaible project unless you are spending way more money than brain power. you can't even do that with a vintage V8.
obviously you are watching way to much fast and furious.
I disagree . You do realize that people are running deep in the 7s with 2 litre powerplants , don't you ?? "Fast & Furious" would be a appropriate title....Certainly , in a world where nearly 1,000whp from a 4cyl is viable , 400 from a Slant is not so much to ask...There's even a FWD 2.2
Mopar running 8 flat & 180 !

Check out any DSM , Toyota or even Turbo Mopar website , it might change your way of thinking......
Yes, 7's and 1000 hp from a 4 cyl. How many and how much did they cost to build. How many of those are street drivers? They also started with 40 year newer technology. Hell I have seen a voyager street driver turn mid 12.s. I can;t see the comparison to slants. This is like comparing a ford flathead to a Hemi. Or one of these 4 cyl to a indy car engine. They are totally different, except for the fact they are an internal combustion engine.

I find it interesting that some people are whining about nitrous cars but wanting turbo cars. Boost is boost whether it comes out of a bottle or off the spool.

Shaker, you really, really think 13.76 is a street friendly compression ratio? :?

Mike doesn't even put that much in his race motors that have been into the mid 11's.

The answer is very simple. Get your car out to a Slant race and put down some numbers. Easy as pie. :D

It's easy to have a fast keyboard. Having a fast car is a little tougher.

How about we make a list af all the Slant cars that have run a 12 second pass at a Slant race with license, insurance, and street tires? I even offered up $500 to any Slant street car that could beat me. There were no takers. Someone else may have done it, but I can't think of any. I do have 'Mad Cow" though, and some things slip by me.

1. Me
2.?

I have a lot of respect for the guys on the board that have actually raced their cars, even if it is only a 22 second pass. I also admire the guys trying to go faster a little at a time like I did. :D :D :D

I still have to ask though, what does how much power my car makes have to do with Mr. Twister trying to rip people off selling his junk pipe? Do you have one on your car?

All I was saying was give the guy a chance even if he may be a goofball. I don't have one because I'm still using the stock exhaust manifold. I want to see what a 100% stock slant could do with some boost. His manifolds may very well work better than the stocker in certain applications. When it comes time to upgrade my exhaust I will build my own headers.

He's a liar and a con artist, and his product is known to be poorly designed and made. So, we should "give him a chance" because...why, exactly?

I offered him some suggestions to make it a little better, but they were completely ignored. Then we found out he's a con artist anyway.
