Awhile back someone mentioned that they made solid mounts for the older A bodies outta some square tube sliced in half? If anyone has any insight into this id sure like to hear or better yet see a few pictures so I can make up a set, thanks.

Not the post I was thinkin but very helpful tho. I was thinkin the mounts were shorter than 2" and they needed to be sectioned down abit. Cool of to the shop now!

If you take an old mount out and disassemble it, the idea becomes easy as pie. :D :D

I did it. just the drivers side. I decided the vibration wasn't worth it. It resonated through the whole car at certain rpms in 5th gear that happened to be ideal cruising rpm's. so I will be changing it out tonight if my rubber ones show up like they R supposed 2.

Didnt have an old one to copy. So I went to Kragen bought both the mounts got all my dimentions then returned them(Im such a prick). Thanks for the tips.
