There is no shade in the pits. Gateways pits are all blacktop. Not sure if they allow tent camping or not. Maybe in the infield of the circle track? :?

I don't know if they allow camping there or not, but there area a few camping areas right up the road from the track as there are several parks.

Ron, there are more hotels out 55 that would be closer than 64 but I am sure they are pretty booked up now.

Like 'Zilla said there is like one spot in all of the Pits that has some shade (NE side by circle track stands).

Good to see lots of slanters are gonna be at there this year, maybe the group will get a little more respect and time because of numbers.

For anyone going to St Louis, Ron Parker and the Brents(us) are staying at the Sleep Inn on I64 exit 14. I booked an extra 2 bed room and we both have an extra bed. So if anyone needs a place to crash you have it. We have 1 rm for Thurs-Sun nights and 2 for Fri-Sat.
See Ya There.
Frank

Sandy, it looks like Frank's done all the leg work at the Sleep Inn. I figger we hit the beach, take the place over, meet everyone, eat, drink, swap some car lies, find a moving buddy and sack out. It'll be like camp, only with flush toilets (well, I HOPE they flush........) RICK

I guess I need to get on the computer and look a little more often. Haven't looked on the site for several months. I will have the Valiant there for the slant race. I haven't done anything but start it every two or three months since last years slant race.
I am going to bring my 72 Cuda there on Friday and Sunday if necessary to try to sell it. It was originally a slant 6, but not anymore. If anyone is looking for a good project, this one is it. It has the usual rust. It needs the rear quarters and trunk floor replaced, all else is rust free.
I am going to try to take some digital pictures this week. If anyone is interested, I will put the rest of the info. on it on the classified page here.

Hope the weather holds out.

Joel Harris

Slantzilla, do you know if there will be a Street Class at St. Louis? I haven't seen any info about the races on the track website.

Thanks,
Brian

OOPS  I just looked again at the track website and found the answer to my question!

Brian, be aware that Street time trials on Saturday and races on Sunday. You may get 1 time run Sunday too, but they have a ton of cars to go through. :D

Thanks for the heads-up Zilla. They also list a trophy class...I wonder what the difference is between that and street class. Anyone have a guess?

Brian

Street class pays money and has a lot of race cars that should be in Pro.

Trophy only pays out trophies and has a lot less real race cars in it. It still time runs on Saturday and races on Sunday.
