I purchased a new control panel from Classic Auto Air and when I purchased it, the sales guy said the wiring diagram was on the internet. It is the panel under the "Perfect Fit" section, and the one with the slide switches. Since I had already purchased the kit a few years back, they sold it to me at the "up grade price".

I have not been able to find the instructions on the internet so far. If any of you internet savy guys feel inspired, maybe you can find a web address for this page. I have found their web site, as that is how I orded the part in the first place, but cannot find the section with instructions. There are five spade plugs on the rear, and three wires from the blower motor. Obviously two fo them are for 12v and ground, and three are for the motor, but I don;t know what is what at this point. The original instructions are not much help as this panel is a new part developed since my AC unit was purchased. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to be away from the forum. There are three guys on vacation at work, and I am preparing a concert grand piano for the International Liszt competition which is held this week in Baltimore. I won;t be back home until next Sunday evening

With just a cursory examination of the website i don't find any downloadable instructions. I'll look again later when i have more time.

How about this as a strategy? If I put an ohmeter on the pins, the ground will never show continuity with any other pin regardless of the position of the switch. The fan lead pins will show continuity with the 12v pin selectively, as the switch is moved from position to position, but not to each other. Is my logic sound here? Have I forgotten anything, or misunderstood the logic of these multi resistance switches? It seems like maybe I can figure this out without the wiring diagram.

Dn, that is a huge help. I can see that my logic was all wrong. The system I purchased is a universal "perfect fit" as the Mopar was not on the market at the time. I can tell from their wiring diagram how that switch could be wired. There are several ways I can make this work. I have an additional toggle switch wired in to cut off the compressor if I want to have the AC off in defrost mode. Thank you. I will go from there and maybe find the instructions for the universal kit. How did you find that? What tabs did you follow to get there? Thanks again. Sam

I don't see a universal fit one. But I clicked on Mopar on the sidebar. Then I clicked on the year/Abody and scroll down and it has an instructions button. If I find a universal set of instructions I'll post the link. -Dan

I just got off the phone with Classic Auto Air, and they say the universal kit instructions are not there, however, the wiring diagram for the Mopar kit is the same. So, thanks for the help, Dan, and I am good to go here.
