We are having our last slant6 race for the year at Medford raceway. (Champion Raceway) on Sept. 22-23..two day race. This was a new track for us earlier this year and the track people really made us feel at home...Prime parking, two dedicated lanes...6 time runs (both days) and a separate slant6 points race on Saturday. Then on Sunday, the track put up a separate $500 purse for us along with trophies. Free BBQ on Saturday night with band...no extra for overnighters..Great track set up in the "pines"...All you West Coast slant6 owners need to show up..this is your last chance for the entire year...SEE YOU AT MEDFORD ON SEPT. 22-23. (You can come in on Friday anytime also). Killer Bees are "swarming" again.

If the Dart's done in time (it should be) I'll try to make it. When are the races in 2008 going to be?

I'm planning on being there. I'm getting my Valiant road worthy. I'll run it at the track too. No sense in driving 300 miles just to watch.

I agree, however, I'll be driving 1200 miles to watch.

I'll be there!
I put the mods on hold till this last race of the season is over.

Am I a '72 again?

CJ

PS: Josh, when are you planning to drive down? You could hook up with Fopar and I and drive with us for the last 160-180 miles! :D

Yea CJ I was wondering the same thing. I am driving the 75 dart. I will have the parts to update it to a 2barrel but I don't want to chance anything going wrong like broken studs!...So I'll leave it off till the slack season. So CJ you will have someone to go faster than this time...LOL

I again talked with the track manager and he said the 72' and earlier was to discourage the later "rice rockets" for showing up. Feel free to use the correct year if you like...there will be no problem as you are again with our slant6 group and we are running our own "show"...see you all at Medford...

The loaded Valiant will depart Yacolt, WA around 9 Friday morning. I'm tentatively planning on a lunch stop in Eugene. Where are you meeting Fopar?

I'm not entirely sure!

I'll probably drive down to his place in the noon range, then we'll take off from his driveway. It's a straight shot out to the Freeway.

I'm going to shoot you a PM on how to find my place. It get's real easy from there!

:D

I'll be on the road early Thursday morning. I'm guessing we'll pass through the Sacramento area maybe around noon on Friday and arive in Medford Friday evening. I wish I had a slant car to drive but this time I'll be in Wifee's Jeep Liberty. Put new shoes on it last night.

I saw mention of Bar'B'Que in Waynes post. Mmmm Mmmm. That was tasty!

I have a carb plate now. The Holley is giving me fits. I need to play with the pump cam. I goofed up and had the Orange cam on there. Time to adjust up the Pink. I'm going to thicken up the secondary to see if that takes care of things.

One way or the other, I'll be there!

CJ
