Some pictures of the rebalanced torque converter.

Not pretty but it runs smooth.
Called Midwest today to discuss a "one time" stall adjustment. I plan to reduce the stall from the 3200rpm to 2800rpm to make it a bit more freindly on the street and to utilize a bit more of the bottom end torque that is being bypassed now.
Does it seem like its to much to ask of an entirely new converter seeing as this one has a bunch of weight on it. They want me to send this one back so they can adjust the stall and build a new cover for it. It seems like the best way for me would be to have a new one built and shipped (temporaily pay for it) and take it to check the balance and then swap it out. The car would be down for a few hours and not at least a week.
He said it was not their policy and would have to ask his boss if an exception could be made.

I don't think you will find too many companies that would do that with a custom converter. :?
