I am working on a '72 Valiant that has the gear selection indicator on the column and the display is broken/cracked....I found a donor '75 valiant at the salvage yard and need to know how to get this piece out...should I take the whole column and disect it at home, how delicate of an operation is it? If you can get the whole column, do it. I have never tried to get a display out, but be very careful with the pointer. Those break incredibly easily.

If the donor 75 has discs , the column you want, and a pile of other things you might think about buying it as a doner car....

I bought a Disco Edition 75 Dart for $200 and got EI ....upgrade charging sytem , disc brakes(including rear axle), rear window defrost ....I could have had air, a nice set of (gag) 195 14s on very nice BBP 3.5"wide steel wheels...

The 904 was blown in a rusty ugly car.....and I have a manual trans(shrug)

The wrecker let me bring back the hulk (full of everything we didnt want....you can put 2 washing machines in a late A 4 door)

If its a PiK a Park ....ask to buy it....and strip it there...exclusive rights...

My B Body donor is a running 78 Satellite....we dont licence it because no one here can drive it nicely. I could build a complete truck with my worktruck clollection.
