I was going to replace my brake light switch, but I can't really see how it comes out of the bracket (non cruise control). I can't find a section in the FSM that says how to remove it, just how to adjust it. With the spade connectors on either side of the hole in the bracket, I can't see how it would come out . Anybody want to shed some light?

Originally the replacement switch came ready-installed in a new bracket, but that was long ago. Nowtimes all you get is the plastic switch. You have to crunch/break the old plastic switch out of the bracket with a big pair of pliers, then install the new switch and use the included spring-ring to secure it in place.
