Hi,
Having a little trouble finding the fittings specified in the fuel line mod thread and was wondering if cutting the original fuel line about 1 1/2" away from the connections at carb and fuel pump and flaring the ends would be an alternative. Thanks, Nico

Being cheap, I cut my line at the pump and turned it up 90 degrees for the mod. I switched carbs, so I took some 5/16" brake line and made a short adapter line for the carb. I put a filter righ after the pump and double clamped the ends that were on the new lines. I've been driving it for months like that now with no leaks and no problems.

hello,
a couple of dollars spent is good insurance against leaks = FIRE.
I got the brass union, right angle carburettor fitting, filter and hose from my local Autobarn, and the steel line from the brake shop.
an old piece of heater hose with a hole punched through stops chaffing on the rocker cover and stops vibration.
click
and here
the whole lot only round $20.
and i think I used the original inlet to the carb as the outlet from the pump. IIRC.
cheap insurance if you ask me.

regards,Rod :D

You can get them from RockAuto.

Thanks, Dan, for steering me in the right direction and I might add that RockAuto has a fantastic site and it helps to be able to find what you are looking for and not deal with some counter people that look at you funny and say your working on WHAT? and your trying to do WHAT with your fuel line? Thanks all, Nico
