I need a stall converter reccomendation. Im building up a new 225 for the duster which will consist of a ported head, oversize valves and pretty close to 10:1 compression. Mallory hyfire ignition, header, offy intake, and going to a 4bbl carb as well. I will be switching the rear gears to either 3.91 or 4.10's soon. My cam is a mopar performance 528/528 and I believe the duration is around 244 at .050 . Any suggestions?
Car may get the spray treatment later as well. Manual valve body in the works to. Anyone have a converter for sale that would work well for this? If so PM me...

Thanks!

I ran a very similar combo in my 64 for several years with 3 different stall speeds - 3000, 3400, and 3800. For a street-strip car that you actually drive around, I would get the 3400. 3000 works too, but not quite enough for max power application. For a strip-only car, 3800 would be best.

I like Midwest Converters and they can set you up perfectly for about $400-450.

I concur with Lou. That much cam will really want at least a 3500. Anything less and you are leaving time on the table. :D

I have been using Midwest for years and have had "0" problems.
