I just inherarted a 1976 volare with 38000 miles and a slant six and thats all i know can someone tell me what ive got because when i press the brakes i almost go through the windshield. I want to give the old girl some speed any ideas

You need to be more specific to get answers around here. So far, all I know is that you have either power brakes or disc brakes or both, combined with a heavy foot. If you have an engine question, like it seems because you posted in the engine section, be a little more specific both with what you know and what you want to know.
