It's easy to build and it's lighter than cast iron. Those are the only benefits to this type of exhaust manifold. It is a manifold and not a header. There was a long discussion about this product. The search function is your friend.

Everything Josh said is correct. The maker's "Just trust me, it works great" insistence, utter lack of real test data, and refusal to communicate meaningfully beyond "Just buy it!" strongly suggests this product is a scam, and an overpriced one at that. I would reccomend that you avoid it.

Will be avoiding it for sure now. Just read the long post about it. The reason i asked is because i saw an ad on ebag for a super six intake that had one on it. looks like the same motor he's been using. Thanks for saving me on this one though

It's no more of a scam than the Dutra. You can believe a couple of jerks on this little nothing board or you can believe the dyno tests. It's not the same motor, either. We have several slant 6 motors.

The only reason (edited by mod) bad mouths it is because Mister Twister didn't bow down to him and answer all his questions to his satisfaction.

That's all I'm going to say about it.

your vocabulary is foul and (or because?) you're part of the power-pipe "entrepreneur" team... Now, getting so irritated by reading opinions about your product, and calling Doug a scam, that's something that really shows your true colors.

FWIW "Dutra Duals" are hyperthreading a technology that Chrysler Corp. started to use and investigate very early if not from the very beggining of slant six production. Ancestors trace back to the H-pak exhaust system (early sixties), and then the argentinian "RT" manifold (early seventies)

Shame on you and on your thomas-alva-edison of a husband for bashing on Dutra and on this board for not going crazy over a log manifold made of tube. Perhaps one day you'll realize that something that looks beautiful can indeed perform like crap. Just give it some time and things'll start to sag.

If you want to jump on Dan's back for his intempestive response (as in not starting his statement with "I believe that" the product's a scam, wich might be not only more accurate but more adequate to the intends and purposes of expressing opinions on an open forum, mind you) good, but bashing the board and Doug is totally uncalled for.

Funny, the people from this board who have seen the pipe with their own eyes and held it in their hands said it looked like a piece of junk.

If this is a little nothing board, how come you are on here posting? :?

You're right. I've edited my initial response accordingly.

I'm not 100% right, although I can see why she got rubbed the wrong way, It's just your style of saying "I don't like it/trust it/let's see real life data"-

I'd love to see actual dyno tests for the power pipe. I have Chrysler Fevre's dynos around and just adding the "dutra style" front casting taht I sent you, Dan, and a chopped rear manifold, same cam, same everything, that's good for an additional 18 HP and 4 kgs of torque. Swapping carbs using a 500 CFM holley 2300 as local chrysler did, you see 30+ HP and 5,3 kg of added torque comparing the same long block with 1 barrel carb/ stocker ex manifold vs. 2 barrel carb / dutra dual style ex arrangement.

I'm sure most people on this little nothing of a board would love to pay Mr.Twister their respects for half of that figures improvement.

I think her tantrum was more due to the failure of this "nothing board" to act as the cash cow she and her hunny thought it would be. Instead of falling over ourselves to throw money in their laps, we (it wasn't just me) asked legitimate questions about the actual, real performance of their product. Questions that had uncomfortable answers, so the response, when they bothered to respond, was "Trust us, it's great, buy it and see, now how many are you buying?". If they had a real product and the data to back it up, then those questions would've been easy and beneficial to answer. Instead, they made personal attacks and trash-talked other, much more proven products. I think that behaviour speaks volumes.

She's upset their little plan didn't yield the showers of money they'd pictured, that's all. (In my opinion, of course.)
