whats a good way to set/check the float, im more used to the ol' flip over checks on other carbs

i got a sweet bog im tryin to lessen.
vacuum 20" at idle dont member timming, but rember playin wit it wit no results. accel pump pumps fine, manual choke helps, but only so much until it blocks air entirly. bog is present even warm, but i have also seen black smoke out the back... which makes me wanna check floats, but there weird design to me...
