Well I thought it would be fun for Dale, Ron and myself to have our cars shipped to Vegas in March for the races. I got a quote of $5,205 to haul all three cars to Vegas and back. I dont see any other way to afford this unless I can borrow a three car hauler gooseneck style and drive them out oursleves. Sure do want to make this trip if possible. A friend of mine drove out for the pinks episode last year and it took him 36 hours each way and $1,000 in gas money. Well I guess I will keep working on this

Wow... that's a bunch of money.
We would love to see you guys out at the Mopars at the Strip event but you never want to leave Las Vegas broke!

Keep talking this around with people, a lot of racers from the East somehow get to that race so thay my know of a less expensive way.

Norm, Check out Moparts and look under Transportation. You may find more cars comming this way and be able to share a full trailer. Lots of mopar friendly independent truckers. They may even stay for the event and do a turnaround. Worth checking into. You can also post a message there as a call out to others wanting to share a ride. I believe that Doug Duell is setting up transportation for a bunch of Max Wedge racers. He owns a Chrysler dealership in Evansville Indiana and may be of help. His # 812-473-0215. And give this guy a call, David Layberger # 850-291-0700. Emerald Coast Carriers based out of Florida. I worked with him receiving cars for the SEMA show this year. Just a few Ideas,, hope something pans out, it will be great to see you here.

For $.50 you can get a ticket for the Seymore Pederson Trans -Continental Trophy Dash.

Street tires recommended but not required.

Open exhaust permitted.

Lights, wipers , cupholders permitted.

Entrants get to waive all trucking fees.....

All entrants are automatically winners ........

Extra points for sleeping in the car.....or bringing a spouse,,,or friend....or escort of law enforcement vehicles.

The real question for me is what to do about antifreeze.......

That price is in line with what I've found. It is a chunk of change. If anyone can get a car to Raleigh, NC in the next week or two, Mike Andreas is taking an EMPTY trailer to LA very soon. I could contact him, or try PM'ing him on this board.

I am considering driving my '64 Dart out for MATS and leaving it with Romeo to come back and drive toanother race and back to VA later. We shall see...

Lou

They don't really check street cars for anti freeze. If they did, half the rental cars in Vegas wouldn't have any in them after that weekend.

The real question is who is that cool looking guy standing next to Dennis and his rental car. Could that be a real slant six racer who brought his car there and raced, or could it be a lonely wannabe slantzilla clone
who got derailed by female detourants (much like what might have have
happened to slantzilla- man himself) I'm thinking you might see this cool dude again at Mopars at the Strip next yr., but alas probably having to
do with female problems again, he might be reduced to racing a rental
or just sitting lonely in the stands while the others have all the fun.

Wish I could help.....a guy back east is interested in buying my 68 slant powered Coronet, and having it shipped....if he gets it, I can ask about shipping quotes.
