I have a set of V8 leaf springs to replace my "well loved" springs
Just ordered the bushings earlier and I'm thinking, do I need different shackles for the V8 springs?

You shouldn't as long as the current ones come off intact.

Depending on what model they are going on, you may have to drill your front hangers out to 5/8" and get new bolts.

Mine always break when I try to remove them.

The cheap replacement ones are crap.

I made my own and used larger bolts and plates.,,,

You will need to drill your hangers.
