What did the t-5's originally come in?
A list or link with a list would be helpful here.

I know they came in many vehicles from the factory but Which ones are in a configuration that is easily suitable for the slant. - I someday would like to install one behind a turbo'd slant so I want to not get a weak one.

Also did any of the t-5's come with a 1X23 Input shaft like the 833's??

Try a google search for Mustang T5 or World class T5. There are umpteen websites with these specs, torque ratings, gear ratios...

For a street/strip car, the Ford Motorsports one is hard to beat - $1100 brand new with all the best innards - Summit has 'em. This is what I have in the '64.

- McLeod 9" disc for 1st gen Mustang, 10 spline, 1.125" diam (I think)
- McLeod 9.25" Slant B&B PP, disco'ed??

Have used your favorite 10" Mopar B&B PP with late 80s Mustang 10" disc also.

Cool then I can just use a 10 spline X1 1/16 10" disc as both of my slant cars run a 10" PP setup now.

Is the Pilot bushing ID any different?? - if so what mods are needed there?

What did you use for the slip yoke?

It appears that none of the mopar stuff would work there.

Thanks, Greg

The 10 spline Ford disc is very close to the Chryco 10 spline but they are different.

I use a 23spline 9.25 turbo Tbird disc with a stock flywheel and PP

Yes, 10 spline Ford disc will work with Mopar PP.

I am writing an article on OD trans swaps for the next SSRN, so be patient. I have also posted all this info before MULTIPLE times on this site. Please do a search before I answer every question again.

Thanks,

Lou

The RAP box is a light duty 5 speed used in Mustangs and Ranger pick ups.

I have had mine in 7 years without any serious problems that didnt originate with teenage drivers.

Ford used a 9.25 clutch in front of them....rangers and Mustangs both weigh more than my car.

I used the stock 3 speed bell, clutch T/o and linkage in my car.

I think you would be better off with a T5.

Ill bet Ford Racing offers both 10 and 23 spline.

I believe that the Ford 1X23 spline is NOT the same spline angle as the Mopar 1X23. Seymour warned me not to use a Ford clutch disc on a Mopar input and I assume this would apply here.

The disc will not be your problem since a huge variety is made for all manner of Mustangs. 9, 9.5, and 10" are available in the Ford 10 spline. The PP is the hard part, which you already have.

none of the Ford splines interchange with mopar ones. Just use the Ford disc that goes with your box.\

In the 9.25 size the Ford is a better piece anyways...

Cool - I know that I have the 10" pp - So that will work - I think the mcleod Clutch Disc in the dart is actually a ford 4.0 V-6 Piece - 1X23 Have used it with 3 different Mopar 833's No problem - I think the spline angle difference is so minute that is was inconsequential on my car / Setup.

Thanks Well at least I know I can get a ford 10 spline 10" disc to use with the t-5.
