Would some of you out there recommend sealants for the rubber windshield gasket? The FMS does not specify particular sealants. It does say to seal between the gasket and metal lip and also between the glass and the gasket. The sealant I discovered between the gasket and metal lip is a non hardening gray color. It was excellent sealant. At 43 years of age it was still pliable and had kept out the water. I am assuming the standard silicone windshield sealant will be fine for the rubber to glass seal.
