Its official Danny Dunn has us scheduled for JULY 19TH. East Coast racers there no events scheduled weeks before or after this race so it might be a good time to mark your calender and make plans to attend. We can easily set a new attendence record and will most assuredly be a 50 point race. Remember the last two years a street car has won the big money, so come get your share of Tim Harrolds big purse. P.S. note the Farmington event on May 10th. is also has a big purse.
Thanks
Ron Hamby

I have yet to be able to attend this event  Every year it seems to land on the weekend I have to work, and this year is no different.

I might be able to get to use some vacation time for it this year, we'll see how it shakes out.

Is Wilkesboro 1/8th or 1/4?

It's like a mini Bristol Thunder Valley. Cool little track!

Possum, I was talking to Mike last night about coming down. It looks like at least $700 in just gas money to tow there. Not sure if I can afford that, plus taking days off without pay to make the trip. I'm not eligible for vacation until August. :(

I would like to get to an 1/8th mile race and bomb the B/N record though.

I'm pretty sure I can run fast enough in the 1/8th to get bounced for no bar.

Well Charlie, my car always did run a lot better in the short half of the track than the big end. I have gone in the high 7:40's a few times, but by 1000 feet it lays over like a rock.

I put taller tires and more gear in it for this year, and am adding a new fuel system from cell to regulator. I'm hoping I can run a high 7:3X. 7:35 is the bubble for a bar.

You car has always been quicker then mine, but you are giving me something to shoot for. My best 1/8, so far, is an 8.45. That means I need to improve by 1 full second, to be with your target. I'm pretty confident, I can pick up a 1/2 second pretty easily. We'll have to see what happens, by July. :D See you at WRP

PS: My Cuda has done low 8's in the 1/8, and my Valiant is 50 more cubes and 500 less weight. So I have a shot.

PPS: Do you think you can get into "B" nitrous, without going on a diet? :P
