ok ive been tryn to figure out why the head on my slant 6 reads 225R.
ive found out information on like 3 other letters like e but i can not find anything about the R stamping after 225. can anyone help?

Are we talking about the actual cylinder head or the engine block's head surface?

It sounds like you're reading off the top of the block, not the head itself. The "R" just means the engine was originally built for installation in a passenger car (rather than a truck or industrial application).

i know that but on the side of the head on the passenger side it says 225R
im not sure...
im only 17 and i just got into mopars about 2 years ago when i bought the satellite (didnt want a mustang like the rest of the family).
so im still pretty unfamilliar with the engine codes...
