It's actually closest to White City, Oregon. Come pitch a tent with us!

Cute. But you're right, I don't think I'll be doing the 50 MPH crawl again.

I'm still on the fence as to which trans to put in the car. Only because of bracket racing am I considering the automatic. I do own a 904 so it's not like I'd be out much money if I took it back out.

It'll probably be the blue duster followed closely by the beater brown streak....

Hi Neil: Try using championraceway.com and there is a link to all the motels in the area. The Red Lion is just a litle more downtown area but a very nice motel with great food also. The track has their favorite motels which offer racer discounts..again on the website. You can email me if you have any trouble or questions. See you at Medford..Wayne from CHico

Wayne,

can you point me to some camping or other cheap accomodations? My son and I will attend, with or without the car.

Menko,

A number of us camp at the track.

What this picture doesn't show is the tents under the tree and other tree(s) to the left.

Cool, I'll pack the tent and the kiddo and we'll do it. Doug will you please pack your trampoline, the boy has never had as much fun as jumping at your house.

It's about 6 miles from the track, close to the mall and right off I5

I think I'll be going that weekend. Probably try to leave Vancouver and catch up with DI and the rest in Salem maybe? Anybody else in Washington?

I was looking at the champion raceway website. Does anybody know how strict they are going to be on the 72 and older? Does anybody know if they are going to do any "fun runs"? I don't really want to enter a race with my daily driver, but I would like to put the pedal down once just for the grins.

BTW, my room mate works for Red Lion and she told me that if you book a room in advance and use the coupon code "FFR", you can book room's for between $30-60. Make sure when you are selecting your room you look for the one that says "Friends and Family".

Your '73 Swinger will be fine. They aren't strict on the year cutoff for our group.

Don't be afraid to race the car the whole weekend. Plenty of daily driver cars and stockers run. The only mechanical issues I recall from last year mostly involved aftermarket throttle cables.

You and I can caravan together as I have to pass through Vancouver on my way South from Yacolt. Then we can pick up with the Oregon folks.

Fopar and I are leaving on Friday. We will be travelling at sub-orbital speeds, so those watching fuel use, or not in a rush are welcome to poke along with us!

What time would you like to leave Eugene Fopar? Linda will be coming with to experience the slant six racing phenomenon. :D

I was thinking about rolling out of here around nine or ten in the morning.

Anyone that would like to join us from up north, shoot a PM to me, and I'll give you directions to my place.

If I know your coming, we'll wait for you. Finding the track isn't so bad once you know where it is!

We'll be camping at the track.

CJ
