hi, i will call tom at erson today and give him all my specs. might have to grind something custom if the 270 won't work for me. i see you used a erson 270 in guzzi. is the 270 considered a high performance torque cam? ron

We used the 270 Erson because it was the bigger of the 2 cams we had on hand.
This cam is a little mild for the 11 to 1 C/R built into this engine but as long as good fuel is used (race gas) it should work OK.

hi,i have another head that is 52cc. the compression calculator shows that i need to take off .040 or .050 on deck. the machine shop is slow this week and can cut block for peanuts.<slow time of the year for them> the 40cc head will give my other slant a needed compression boost. before i start assembling this block in 2 weeks ,should i cut the deck a little more and use the 52cc head? missed tom at erson friday. will try again tomm. ron

tom recommended the e470621 for me, but wants to grind it on a 106 lobe sep vs the stock 111. he doesn't keep our names, but has sold some cams with that setup to the group. if anyone has that grind can you post your results. thanks, ron

hi, i have the new cam installed with a jp/cox brothers timing set 2 degees advanced and with no head gasket i have .050 valve to piston clearance on my intakes 5 degrees after top dead center. exhaust has plenty of clearance. 4 degees advance drops me to .045. straight up gets me .065. with the .020 head gasket(which i want to use) is .070 enough valve to piston clearance? should i use a .040 felpro for more clearance? ron

hi, the factory length pushrod spec looks to be 9.830. mine all measured between 9.827 to 9.825 effective length. my adjustable pushrod shows i need 9.750 effective length pushrods to have 0-1 thread below rocker. who are we using for custom pushrods? ron
