Hi All,

New to the mopar family and need some techical guidance. I already have a 68 4dr /6 dart with the 9"drums. Been interested in upgrading my brakes and now have an opportunity to get a 78 aspen /6 2dr with discs. What I would like to know is if the this would be a suitable donor or am I limited to pre 76 A-bodies for my conversion. Also, will this be a super six car?

Thanks for the help, Cheers

The spindles, hubs, rotors and calipers can be used but you will need to find 73+ A-body upper control arms to complete the swap. The spindles are not identical but concensus is that they work fine. I don't know about the master cylinder but my guess is that it will be suitable as will the proportioning valve. Others may want to shed more light on the subject.

Growing older is unavoidable but growing up is strictly optional.

This car has a master cylinder from a Volare. It works fine. You will need to either make or buy an adapter do bolt it up. I simply cut the back off of the old master cylinder, smoothed it up with a file, and taped it for the studs required to mount the newer MC.
