I am finally getting somewhere with the second "twin" engine build-up, that we started covering in this thread:
http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26159

When we first started that thread, we though the Guzzi engine would go pretty fast and that we would quickly shift over to "Raquel". Things did not go as planned and the Twins thread is now 6 pages of mostly Guzzi build info.

So here is the question: should we split Raquel's engine assembly / engine build into a new thread or keep posting it to the original "twins" message thread?
What is easier for everyone to follow?
DD

Separate them at birth and follow for 30 years.....

Then we can figure environment versus genetics....

Start a new thread and lock it.

Add another thread for comments and questions....that get answered in the locked thread.....or mebbe that comment thread is this thread......

I'm with Sandy too. It seems like things really get off track when the tread isn't locked.

So.... it looks like a "seperation operation" is called for.

I like the idea of a locked thread on the new post, seeing that this engine build will have to be "fast tracked" if I am going to get the motor built, dropped into the racecar and debugged in time for the Las Vegas race.
I can do a good, basic "step-by-step" SL6 engine assembly post that should help anyone assemble a SL6, stock or not.

Time to go "scrub"....

OK, I started and locked a "Twins #2" message thread and added the first installment.
Here is the link to that post.

I will continue checking here for questions & comments about that engine.

Just incase you wanted or didn't know. I used a BH block (Eileen) and bored it big time. I personaly think I got lucky and found a perfect cast block though. 8)
