I am starting this tread.......again because it may have got lost. The New date is around March 15 for this buy, but could change due to lack of people. A fresh recap we need ten people to get the best price from T&D machine and the more the better. The rockers are around 490.00 and come with everything but the shaft. Someone posted Summit has them and I think they were cheap. So I am #1 who is next?? Lou, can I say your #2??? If so we need 8 more so who wants in.

I am definitely in for a set of 1.6s. These look like nice pieces. Thanks for organizing this!

Well when everyone is all in ie... 10 people or more we will sit down with (on the phone silly  ) Sheldon and say "We need X numbers of rockers in X ratio.". Then he will A.)build them B.)if he has them, pull them from stock on the shelf.

The key here is the # of people and that they actually producing the money.

Now this may seem weird time to ask this but who does all the board creating here on this site? Is it Chuck Rivers? I'd like to know due to a idea that I have.

Anyway It doesn't have to be just from this site either. If you have someone that doesn't use a computer but would like a set bring them along, as long as you vouch for them and the money is there at the time of buying. Looks like there is only three of us so far? Well as the thread is viewed maybe people will get on board.

I may be interested if this looks like a go, but I'm at least a few months from starting anything.

Rollers will not get you much on a stocker.

Chuck Rivers is the board commander.

Yep they may not give you much on a stocker but as you make more changes and get more HP they will kick in. They could be considered Hp that doesnt go away.

Actually, I just remembered Ron Parker used 1.6 rollers on a stock head/bottom end, and said they were worth 0.2-0.3 in the 1/4 mile. So, for a straight bolt-on mod where you don't have to get into the engine, they are pretty good.

Here's a copy-paste of RP's post---
"I put a set of 1.6 roller rocker arms on my base stock engine several years ago over the stock 1.5. The car picked up about 2 hundereds of a second in the 1/8. I figured that was the 1.6 rockers give a little more lift and maybe a little less friction. Thanks Ron Parker "

I was interested in 1.5 rockers, so looks like I'm out.
Thanks anyway for the leg work you did MoparDemon71.

I think that's what he meant, 2/10ths.

1.6 rockers will give a gain on a stock engine, or on an engine with the wrong camshaft installed. Will they pick up 2-3 tenths? That would be at least a 30 horse gain. Not very likely.

Will they make any power on a well built engine with a cam that matches the head/intake? No.

Can they be used to correct poor valve train geometry? Maybe.

Did you guys check with Chuck at Best Machine to see if this part # falls under his group buy? If it does, you would only need 5 sets instead of 10.
