Good day, I've been reading up on Caltrac Traction bars, just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with them. I saw them on Calvert Racing web site.
Thanks Derek

I run them on my C-body big block drag car and I love them. Infinitely adjustable and providing your sub frames are connected we get an arrow straight launch. We also use the mono leafs in conjunction with the traction bars.

On a side note, I've had nothing but good experience in dealing with Calvert Racing.

Thanks for the response, I wonder if they are truly a bolt in deal for an Abody?
Regards
Derek

Yes, I do have a set for an A-body. I used them on my Duster and the results were very good for making the car more consistent in the 60'.

I also had a set on my Dakota R/T. You could adjust them enough to get it to hook on the crappy street tires, and that is an accomplishment on an R/T.

I am getting ready to install my A-body set on my '66 Valiant. I am hoping to make the 60' a lot more consistent when I am spraying. My old Lakewood slappers could 60' really good once, then the next time the 60 would change for no apparent reason, but the car leaves incredibly hard for a Slant car.

Before you order a set make sure to check your front spring eye diameter because Travis will ask. '63-72 will have an 1-1/2" bushing unless the springs have been changed. '73'76 will have 2". I did not know that when I ordered mine and got the wrong bushings to start with. Travis will also want to know the length of the front spring section, and that should be 20" no matter what year springs.

Calvert Racing is good people to deal with. :D

Thanks for the confirmation, I'll double check my dimensions tonite & order a set. I just noticed today they have a check list for dimensions so I downloaded it, looks real user friendly.
Regards Derek
