The owner Ed Yost looked fine last time I was there a few weeks ago.

It has worked at Medford and Redding. I dont think they look at the slants all that close.

I know I'm planning on being at Woodburn.. most likely as a spectator though. Although, it could be fun to race just to see what my little car can do (besides getting dusted by the rest of you racers. ;) )

Don't sell yourself short Stephanie. In this type of racing it isn't so much how fast you are as it is how consistent you are. Twenty second cars can, and regularly do, beat 14 second cars in bracket racing.

Hmmm.... maybe I will have to give it a shot then..
I'm totally unfamiliar with bracket racing and the rules and concepts behind it.. I'm used to hanging around with street racers (ones who actually know how to build and tune engines, not throw a chrome tip on the exhaust and call it good).

"Richard we look forward to having the slant six group run their point's
race
at the Hot Rod Nationals in August. We can discuss having the point's
races
at both events next year I do not see any problems with doing that. If
you
would like us to print ladders for you we certainly can do that, just
give
us what parameters you wish to use for qualifying and we will set the
computer up.

If you have any question please do not hesitate to contact me."

Gene R. Bergstrom
General Manager
Woodburn Dragstrip

I have talked to Semore and he will include this race in the next news letter.

So hopefully somebody can help me out, I'm a little confused. I've seen talk about Samoa, Medford #2 and Redding #2 being the last three points races for the West coast.. but last I heard (from this thread) Woodburn was going to run a points race, which would bring that total up to four left.
What's going on with this, is Woodburn still for points, and is anybody planning on going if it is? I know it's a bit in advance, but I've been wondering.

There is to be a points race at Woodburn, Aug 9th 2008. So the total points races for the west coast will be:

Las Vegas (completed)
Medford (completed)
Redding (completed)
Samoa July 12 & 13
Woodburn Aug 9
Medford Aug 23 & 24
Redding Oct 25 & 26

The post dated Thurs April 10 was a cut and paste from the E-mail sent to me from Woodburn with the added note that Seymore was aware of the race and would include it in the next news letter. He has called me and said he was late in getting the news letter out.
