Hello Slant Six Members:

I'm presently in the middle of restoring a 1966 Valiant Signet Convertible made for the Canadian market. As Charlie from Silver Springs, Florida has mentioned the Canadian 66 Valiant is not the same car as was sold in the states in that year. My 66 Canadian Valiant is the same as the 66 Dodge Dart GT that was sold in the States.

I'm presently having a difficult time trying to locate the fasteners/clips to mount the chrome back to my car. At present I am trying to find the clips to mount the 4" chrome rocker panel cover. I believe their are eight or nine clips per side. The original Mopar Part # is 6001823.

Would anyone be able to tell me where I might purchase these clips and other clips that I will need for the vehicle in question being a 66 Dodge Dart GT Convertible. Any info/leads would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Hey Charlie, long time since we last spoke. I hope all is well with you. I do want to confirm that my 66 Valiant in Canada is not the same model as the 66 Valiant that was sold in the US. For some strange reason the 66 Valaint sold in Canada is identical to the 66 Dodge Dart that was marketed in the states. Hope your projects are going well.

Welcome to the forum. I would assume you have checked the "normal" places like YearOne and Legendary Also Steele Products and sometimes JC Whitney will have clips. Im sure others will have better leads for you.

Thanks for your response. I have the Year One and Legendary Catalogues but they do not appear to supply these clips. I will take a look at the JC Whitney & Steele Product sites. Fortunately I do a have a couple of the original rocker panel clips but they appear to be of a very specific design and may prove to be hard to find in terms of remakes/aftermarket.
