I had this problem as well with my 68 Dart.

I tried several solutions... replaced the radiator with a used one, which helped, but did not solve the problem.

I bought an AFCO aluminum radiator from Summit, paid around $165 I think... Now my Dart barely runs above the "T" in "Temp", and that is with a 195 stat, driving as fast as you would like. More than worth it!

Had the same problem with my 65 Dart convert. Had the stock radiator recored and all was well again. My vote is for the radiator.

Are you sure the gauge is accurate? You may be chasing a phantom.
