Hi Folks,
I have a mallory dual point distributor that has the unilite electronic ignition conversion installed in it. I would like to install it in my car but just want to verify a couple things before I start cutting wires!
Please let me say first I am an electronic moron! enough said!! I know you all can help.

This set-up is all contained within the distributor and only has 3 wires.

Red wire - To positive side of coil / ( I'm assuming I still need the
the wire coming from the ballast resistor to the + side
as well ?? )

Green Wire- To negative side of coil

Black - To a good ground

Is this all I need to hook up? Of course I'm planning on a new high performance coil to go along with this.

Is anyone else using this setup? Any problems?

If you have any questions at all, I'd check with Mallory themselves. Those unilite parts are too expensive to gamble with!

I agree with Bud. I'm sure Mallory must has an application note for the installation. If you take someone's advice on this it would be a gamble.
