I found new 198ci connecting rods are available at this german online part store. They´re made by TRW, part# is cr1434. They cost 45 US$. I´ll call them tomorow if they are realy available. Anyone knows something about these rods? Are they as durable as stock 198 rods ?

Let us know if these are really available, sometimes old p/n are listed but the parts have been discontinued and have run-out.

If new 198 con rods are available, that would be great, all I have seen over the last 5-6 years are used ones

We uncoverd a source of reconditioned used 198 rods a while back, there is a listing in the parts database, about $32.00 each, reconditioned, no exchange so don't overpay on ebay.

The set on ebay is going to sell. It is only at $145.00. Basically $24.00 each if anyone is interested.
