It Aint Over Until I Win

Charlie,

I am rushing trying to get the Duster in running condition, but work schedule is killing me. Right now, I'd say it doesn't look very likely I will be ready. I am already bummed about not being ready for Farmington, and I really wanted to come down and support this race with my car.

If he makes it, maybe we can get him to pull the valve cover and show off his sporty homemade roller rockers.

Jerry will be there. Just got off the phone with him. He doesn't have the rockers on the engine, but is going to bring them for "show and tell". Wish I had more time at the track. I would like to try them, my cam is mild, and the rockers are about 1.7 to 1.
Leighton, and Judy Drake are thinking about coming down with the Simca.

Just got a call from Merril Brunner. He and Ella are bringing the slant powered D-50 truck. Frank just called, it is "iffy", but he is still trying to make it.

I sure hope so. 2006 wasn't too bad for a 1st year race, but 2007 was terrible. I was very dissapointed, but we did have a lot of smoke from brush fires in the area, which kept many away.

I just got an email from Cinda Brent with pictures of her doing an oil change on their tow vehicle (F150) "in preparation for Valdosta" so maybe Charrlie's strong arm tactics worked
