Nice ride for somebody. Can't imagine he'll get anything like what he put into it. Why do people sell their cars anyway?

Because they have become a bigger pain then they are worth. When you buy a used car, you are buying somebodies elses problems...

Another slant six converted to V-8. Will slants become the rare and seldom seen Mopar in the future?

I have thought the same thing, however I am not sure how rare they will be concidering the numbers. What I do think is that they will increase in popularity and the slant will be more sought after than a mopar v8, (In valiants) Because I do not know many people who would pass up a 426 hemi

I am hoping that we, as a country, reject the GNP like we rejected the gold standard, and go onto the Cordoba standard! In this futuristic world, I would be the next Bill Gates! Or better yet, we could go onto the rust standard, and all our rotting hulks would be ever appreciating in value! In this Bizarro world, we all could be the new aristocracy.

Gee, If a found a Torino with a 429 Hemi, it wouldn't pass it up. You gotta love those old shotguns from Ford.

The only 429 Hemis were Fords. They put them in '69 and '70 Mustangs (429 BOSS Mustang). These things sell in the same price range as Hemicudas. '71 Torinos got a 429 wedge motor (429 Cobra Jet). OK that's enough of the F word, sorry.

 Post subject: My Valiant
PostPosted: Wed Jan 01, 2003 3:29 pm
Hey Guys. It is ironic that this picture showed up again. I have a 69 Valiant 100 two door post with a black interior and this is close to the way it is going to end up. The difference is mine will be done in Pewter mist with glass bumpers, filled in marker side reflectors, flat black six pack hood, 68 grille assembly (the stock 69 grille looks crappy), 68 or 69 tail lights (not sure yet), bucket seats, matching in color LBP rally wheels, (wider wheels in the back to fill the wells with the springs relocated), oh, and I almost forgot, A SLANT SIX / 4 SPEED COMBO WITH DUAL HEADERS AND MINIMAL MUFFLERS AND DUAL DUECES. Anyone have any advice or tips. This car is gotta make a statement and a buddy of mine is doing a 67 with a killer V8. I am sticking with the six. I just love this motor.
Abodynut
