Maybe some of the bad info that gets spread around comes straight from Mopar.
Check out the carb info for the slant six Duster in this ad! (you may have to zoom in)

Hi,

I have this very add in my collection of literarature and have often wondered about it ( 2 barrel carb for the slant ) myself....what ? marketing optimism? or maybe export stats accidentally printed...I do like how they describe the exhaust manifold as a single free flow header........and that color brown compliments the Duster greatly.

Looks like '72 to me. First year for the surface mounted marker lights and last year for that nose.

Yes, 1972. Besides side markers, wheel centers and 340 valve sizes are first year and it's the last year for the 'sharktooth' grille. My first Mopar was a '72 340 Duster and my older Sis had a '72 Gold Duster with a 225.

What's wrong with the valve sizes? 340 or slant six?
