I seem to collect white Dodges. You seems to collect green. The power steering and brakes are nice in a truck. Is this the granny low gear 4-speed?

yeah uber low granny 1st, i don't even use it. ugg my wife is having to re-teach me how to drive a 4 on the floor

well this thing needs a lot of work i have been scrubbing my ass off.
i took a pressure washer to the inside of the cab.

i am gonna need the following stuff:

about 50.00 in misc stuff from the parts store for the engine plus some extra for an all around tune up.

seat
power steering pump
tires
new floor in the cab
right fender - right door (pretty dented up)
PAINT!
windscreen - it has cracks
think that is it unless somthing else goes wrong

killer motor runs like a champ and great transmission!

oh the title and registration say 78 but the door says 77 so i am gonna try to licence it as a 77 so i can avoid deq. (and yes the vins match up)

oh and pwr breaks and steering plus front disc brakes ... it stops really well.

Ahh, the NP435. A very good transmission.

I have an extra Saginaw power steering pump. Does yours leak or what? What misc engine stuff do you need?

the orniment was a hand carved bear. i removed it

yeah it seems to leak and the seller said it needed to be replaced.

it needs gaskets, proper battery box and brackets, oil fill cap, radiator cap.
tons of little misc stuff and my wife is gonna let me have a few bucks to fix that stuff cause i am broke as hell my self.

Sadly unless you live in the southlands, DEQ smogs all 1975+ vehicles... I ran into that when I lived in Tigard and the DMV wouldn't issue a license plate for my '74, until the manager came over and told the clerk that 1974 is exempt... So 'when' Salem gets it's first station, both Feather Duster's will have to do the 'idle' test, unless either I can get a 'special' plate (collectible) or someone collects enough signatures to get Oregon to abandon the idea that we still have millions of cars from 1975-1980 on the road (yet the couple million of pre-74 cars don't pollute as much as the 75-80 jet set...)...a rolling 20 year exemption would be nice, sadly DMV will not release their data to support that there are probably as many 1975/76/77/78 vehicles on the road as there are 72/73/74.... (and the number of 1969 Chevelles in my town without their OEM equipment probably make up for the lack of slant sixes....), I thought Washington was going to the rolling exemption, anyone?

Soapbox away...Sorry....

my wife goldyn wants it white so its gonna get that when i get a new right fender. Joshie i rember you telling me how to roller paint a car a while back think i am gonna do that. i think she is gonna be driving it more than me. she loves it! i hope to see her taking it down the strip.

hmmm... i wonder what the 1/4 time is for a truck.

My 82 D150 with a stock 225, 4 speed overdrive and 3:55 rear ran a best of 19.6 at 68 mph ( if memory serves me correctly ) in the 1/4. It's pictured here with the original owners wife ( my aunt ) but in this picture it's running a hopped up 360 / 727 combo. Right now the truck is scattered all over my shed in various pieces. One of these days I hope to get it back together-might even go back to slant power

today i built a plywood floor in the cab i painted it and it looks pretty nice.

goldyn and i went to autozone and droped 75.00 in parts and another 10.00 @ the hardware store i use to work @ for misc grade 8 bolts and such. the valve cover was totally loose, so new gasket and other stuff had to happen before i trust it to go 50 feet. the motor & tranz was replaced 20k miles ago so its pretty and nice inside. looks better than mine!
outside / engine bay is a mess.

the radiator was loose from it mounts and since i saw fopar fix mine (on my dart) i got out the torch, flux and solder and fix'd er right up.

learning is fun and usefull! and slantsix.org rocks!

next is dealing with the second tank removal there is a ton of fuel line that goes no where! so @ 0.58 cents a foot i am gonna re run the fuel line.

thank god it has a shiny new holly 1945 i think?

then properly mount the spare tire and deal with sloppy hippie wiring.

next up is my rant:
i'm all 420 friendly and i once had dreadlocks down to my butt (imagine al from ministry) but damn it wire up a automobile properly.

more to come! good luck in medford guys and gals! i wish i was with you!

well the remanafactured carb has issues, like leaking gas all over the engine. so untill i get another carb it's going no where.

i found a free bedliner off craigslist today, i picked it up strapped it to the roof of my dart and drove home @ 15mph with the flashers on.

perfect fit it came from a 1980 dodge ram truck.and it is in great shape and only a couple years old. its a bodygard brand and still had the stickers on it. good score!

my mom will be in town tomorrow with a BRAND NEW SET of truck tires for it. i am having some issues with the tailgate so i will prolly get a cargo net / tailgate net (i don't know the proper term) next is to get the spare tire properly mounted under the truck and the new carbrator on.

my landscaping/construction /lawnscaping biz is doing ok for its frist week, hopefully it will be even better with the truck running.

after i get it all fixed up i'll add some new pictures.

cheers!
